N-3 utility pants adopted by the US Navy in the early 1940s. The simple design with two hip pockets has the same appearance as the M-41 pants adopted by the US Marines around the same time. It can be identified as N-3 utility pants by the "USN" marking on the hip pocket. The buttons are black donut-shaped tuck buttons used during the Great War and are engraved with laurels.
