Nigel Cabourn Army Crew Jersey Mix
The right side is based on the 1930’s and the left side is based on the 1940’s. We faithfully made each part from the two different eras with different details, and then we combined it at center, making this a very unique piece.
The two vintage pieces that we used as our design base have the same fundamentals, but differ in Rib and texture due to their varying era.
Each part is faithfully re-produced. The sleeve hem has a different size, body hem has level difference. Every texture is different - one has freedom sleeve and other has set-in sleeve.
By using above two designs, we use different sawing machines.
Right hand side from 1930’s is sewn with a flat seamer, which was used originally, and has character to make as thin a lap of fabric as possible. Then the left hand side is made from using a 1940’s lock sewing machine. All these details make this piece very special and distinctive.
