A historic collaboration celebrating the 101st anniversary of Lee's iconic "101" denim jacket. This masterpiece merges the "101-J" from the Great War era (1942-45) with British military workwear aesthetics, creating a uniquely layered piece of wearable history.
The standout feature is the original "BURRY DENIM" fabric, which deliberately reproduces the textural irregularities of wartime supply shortages. Woven on vintage power looms using mixed-weight yarns, it achieves authentic ruggedness. The indigo version features deep colour from layered sulfide and rope dyeing, while the green expresses an exquisite military tone via sulfide cheese dyeing.
Design details reflect meticulous collaboration. The silhouette balances a slightly wide cut with shortened length in a distinctive pattern. American specifications include laurel buttons and absent back cinch, while British military influences appear in sleeve construction, chest pockets, underarm vents, and corozo palm-wood buttons. The jacket combines two different denims—right twill (LOT-2601) for the body and left twill (LOT-2602) for British military details—creating three-dimensional, multi-tonal aging unique to each wearer.
Vintage authenticity thrives in preserved red tags, leather patches, and union tickets. Pair with the matching "RANCH WORKER 101B" trousers to complete an era-spanning silhouette that harmonises cowboy heritage with European functional craftsmanship.
