Our classic work shirt, constructed from our 10oz selvedge denim and overdyed red. Known as “direct dying’, the overdying method we’ve utilised here allows the fibres to gradually absorb the colour molecules without the need for other chemicals to aid adhesion. More commonly used to add vibrant tones to lighter coloured fabrics, when overdying darker fabrics - such as the indigo denim used here - the colour appears less prominent. The result is a fabric which displays a subtle, yet distinctive hue, with the potential for some really unique, high-contrast fades to develop.
