Description of item
Although based on the U.S. Navy, the Marine Corps is an independent force outside the Army, Navy, and Air Force chain of command. This is because, in emergencies and special missions, it prioritizes immediate response and eliminates the complex and time-consuming chain of command. Typical soldiers deploy to bases or camps with accommodations, where they are provided with additional equipment and prepared for their mission. However, as a rapid-response force, the Marine Corps is often deployed to combat zones, often in various locations and environments around the world. For this reason, one of the Marines' gear is the poncho. It functions as a personal tent, reflecting the harshness of their mission, where even camps do not exist. The large card pockets located under the buttocks are designed to store the poncho. Its optimal location allows the large fabric to be stored without interfering with any activities, while also providing additional cushioning.
